Fathering the Fatherless is the foundation that supplies the fatherhood-ministry movement. We exist to restore godly fatherly influence in a generation growing up without it.
What we do. We equip men with curriculum, training, and the language of authentic biblical fatherhood. We train and speak to fathers and the fatherless. We publish verified, county-level fatherhood data as a public resource. We fund and coordinate the churches, nonprofits, and community organizations doing the direct work on the ground. Once a year, we host Boots & Braids Country Night — our signature annual event and the one program we host directly.
What we do not do. We do not provide direct services. We do not mentor children. We do not run counseling programs or operate facilities. We do not compete with the partner ministries we exist to support. The work of reaching children and walking with families happens through our partners. Our role is to make their work possible — and to multiply it through data, curriculum, funding, and institutional credibility.
Our work operates across five layers:
The SHEPHERD Framework calls men to eight pillars of biblical fatherhood: Spiritual Leader · Husband Who Loves Sacrificially · Encourager and Nurturer · Protector and Provider · Heart of Integrity · Example Who Inspires Potential · Reprover and Wise Mentor · Discipliner. It is taught through the Built to Father trilogy and propagated to partner organizations as open-licensed framework content.
Every book delivered is a father's voice in a home where one is missing. Every gift to Fathering the Fatherless is a foundation under the work of every partner in every community we serve.
